Hello all,
Today I wanted to talk about nutrition at college. The end of the semester is winding down and finals are coming up. A lot of students use this as an excuse to start eating unhealthy because they are busy with their work. Although it is difficult, this is the most important time to eat healthy. It will allow you to be more focused and more alert so that you can get your work done. Eating unhealthy will lead to you feeling poorly and tired, which would affect the quality of your work. Continue to eat healthy to make sure you are doing well.

Stress eating can be seen all around college campuses this time of year. I believe people are so consumed in their work that they just reach for something that will make them feel better. They look for comfort food. I agree that eating properly leads increased performance.
ReplyDeleteHello, Tyler. This is a great blog, as you made some really good points here. It does seem like the busier people become, the more they turn to unhealthier food options. You are right, though, these are the most important times to eat healthy since they really need the energy when they become busier. We need to realize that while the unhealthier foods may be quicker, they are obviously are not the better options. Proper eating habits can help improve so many areas in our lives and we need to take more advantage of the healthy foods that there are.
ReplyDeleteStress eating is definetely a thing, especially in college. When things get busy with finals, papers, and projects, it is so easy to just grab a quick meal at a fast food place (like McDonalds which is RIGHT BY CAMPUS). We need to acknowledge that unhealthy foods will make us go even more downhill during these busy times. It makes us feel tired, slow, sluggish, and makes it hard to concentrate on our studies.
ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely right, this is the most crucial time of the semester to be eating healthy. Also incorporating daily physical activity on top of the healthy eating will only amplify the results if you ask me. Although school work and life can sometimes get in the way, we shouldn't neglect the things that matter the most, such as, making sure we fuel our brain with the correct foods. If you have time to go out on the weekends, you have time to go to the store and buy healthier foods. Instead, we spend all of our money on drinking and binge eating and then it becomes a habit.
